Since 2024, I’ve been co-hosting ”Meet the ADs“ – real talk from behind the slate. Together with my friend and Key 2nd AD Tim Schaer, I chat with international ADs about the often overlooked craft of being an Assistant Director.

What started as a side project has turned into part therapy session, part war-story exchange, and a whole-hearted love letter to the job that keeps us coming back for more.

One of the greatest things about this journey has been learning from the very best in our field and helping to connect ADs worldwide into a stronger network.

  • Me
    I was born in the UK and raised in Germany, and I love that my job keeps taking me across some of the most beautiful corners of the world. After almost 10 years on the floor filling various roles on set and in the AD-Department, I stepped into producing. Always combining it with being a 1st AD so I never lose touch with set, because I truly believe that the energy behind the camera always finds its way onto the screen.
  • EasyExtra
    In 2021 I founded EasyExtra - Europe’s first software for managing, budgeting, and billing extras. I built it during the first Covid lockdown, out of necessity, to make working with background actors less of a headache for ADs and producers. Designed by someone who has lived through the 5am crowd-call chaos for years, EasyExtra is now used by productions across Europe and continues to grow. Curious?   • ADU
    As a board member of the ADU (Assistant Directors Union Germany), I’ve spent the past four years working alongside wonderful colleagues to elevate industry standards and support the next generation of ADs. Among other things, I helped create the ADAs (Assistant Director Awards) and represent the ADU on the awards committee. I’m also a member of the ADG (AD Guild UK) and listed on the DGA qualification list.
